With “surtitling” we mean the projection of the track of dialogue of a translated theatrical work. The process is done during the show, and the captions are projected onto an apposite screen above the stage, or in a space cut out from the stage setting. As the rhythm of acting varies from one representation to the other, it is not possible to have a synchronised track, therefore slide presentations are the best solution. This kind of software is designed for several uses but is often poor in essential specific tools. Our system has been developed for live surtitling, which guarantees maximum flexibility and allows rapid adaptation to stage spaces and acting dynamics, with perfect results for the last minute editing as well, usually required by stage-play authors themselves.
